Caveolin-1, Cell Signaling Technology, 3267
What do reviewers generally think about 3267 from Cell Signaling Technology?
Researchers report Caveolin-1 CST 3267 performs well in Western blotting for endogenous human Caveolin-1, with KO validation. It detected an approximately 20 kDa band in wild-type U-87 MG lysates at 1:1000 and no corresponding band in CAV1 KO lysates. One reviewer points out that a published study also validated it in human keratinocytes, showing no band in Cav-1 KO cells and earning a five-star rating. No complaints are mentioned.

Review of: Caveolin-1, Cell Signaling Technology, 3267 by pAbmAbs Data Mining
Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human Caveolin-1 and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.
YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 17 commercial research antibodies against human Caveolin-1 encoded by CAV1.
The collection of antibodies was tested using U-87 MG and CAV1 KO cells in the application WB (WT and KO cell lysates/20 µg protein), according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).
In WB (1:1000) 3267 detected a band of appr. 20 kDa in WT lysate, with no corresponding band observed in KO lysate.
We highly encourage other scientists to share their observations.

I am sharing a pAbmAbs generated literature review of KO validated antibodies. Here citing Jozic et al. Communication Biology 2021
Jovic et al. validate this antibody for detection of endogenous human Caveolin-1 (Cav-1) by Western blotting of human keratinocytes. No band was observed in Cav-1 KO keratinocytes (Fig. 2d). Full gel image available in the Supplementary information (Supplementary Figure 7).
Based on the available data, we have assigned a five star rating but we highly encourage other scientists to share their observations.
