Immunostaining were done on 4% paraformaldehyde perfusion-fixed brains that were cut at 50µm on a vibratome.
Antibody specificity is good. Generally requires a high concentration of primary antibody (i.e., 1:100 to 1:200). Background “noise” can be high when using very concentrated dilutions, presenting challenges to optimize the reaction.
The good news is that the product comes in a large volume (dilute with 500µl ddH20).
