Highly specific microglia marker (not expressed in any other immune or neuronal cell types)
Very good antibody for immunohistochemistry staining on PFA-fixed frozen sections of mouse brain. It doesn’t react with Rat and Human.
We tested this antibody in Marina Romero Ramos Lab with several dilutions and the optimal dilution is 1:1500
Antigen retrieval with 10mM NaCitrate Buffer is needed.
Note that Tmem119 expression is only seen after postnatal day (P) 14 in mouse brain.
