Collagen VI, Santa Cruz Biotechnology, sc-374566

Endicott et al., BMC Res Notes describe the validation of twenty-three commercial antibodies raised against Collagen. Out of the seven antibodies tested against α2, this antibody was the only one that failed to detect muscle collagen VI (1:40). The antibody performed well for wb when tested on chain-specific lysates under reducing conditions. Furthermore, this antibody was the only out of the seven tested that detected α2 under non-reducing conditions, albeit with a very weak signal (1:500).
