Andersson et al. Nature Communications 2017 describe the validation of thirteen commercial and academic antibodies raised against estrogen receptor beta (ERbeta).
The present antibody failed in the IHC validation step since it recognized both ERbeta positive cells and ERbeta negative cells.
This antibody also failed Human Protein Atlas internal quality check and was removed from production.
