What do reviewers generally think about TA335571 from OriGene Technologies?
Researchers using OriGene TA335571 rabbit anti-SUV420H1 at 1:2500 for Western blotting report limited or atypical detection in mouse brain, HEK293T, and pig brain samples. A faint band near the expected size was seen only with overexposure in one preparation, while other samples showed several bands not at the expected 99 kDa canonical form, possibly shorter isoforms or nonspecific signals. Milk blocking and overnight primary incubation at 4°C were used. One reviewer points out that lower MW isoforms are not covered by the epitope, suggesting those bands may be aspecific.

Rabbit anti-SUV420H1 (Origene TA335571), 1:2500 in 5 ml.
Different sample preparations (all mouse brain) and different blocking agents.
A very faint band of approximate MW appears when overexposing. Lower MW isoforms are not covered by the epitope, so these must be aspecific bands.

Loaded: extract from HEK293T cells, mouse brain and pig brain. Several bands visible, though not at expected MW of canoncical form (99kDa). Bands may represent shorter isoforms.
WB blocked with milk, 1AB overnight incubation at 4*C.
