Goat anti-rabbit, Thermo Fischer Scientific, SA5-33571

Not advertised as cross-adsorbed. Advertised as antigen affinity purified. Experience is with adult rat brain unpurified lysate on immuno blot (20-30ug), using 1:10000 dilution to reveal rabbit anti-Kir6.2 (Santa Cruz Biotech “H-55”, 1:200). Blots scanned with NIR fluorescent scanner (LICOR Odyssey classic) on “800” channel (785nm excitation according to their documentation). Incidentally, this fluor is only usefully functional if the membrane is kept wet and imaged wet. In contrast to DyLight 680, which is brighter when dry, drying the blot after immuno quenches the signal almost totally. Rewetting does not revive activity. Much stronger signal than original Dylight 800 version (Thermo SA5-10036) under same conditions.
