This antibody works at very dilute concentration with minimal non-specific binding on rat brain slice. Moreover one hour incubation is enough. No need for overnight incubations. Formalin (4%) post-fixed rat brain, crystabilized in 30% sucrose, were sectioned at 40um on a freezing microtome and labeled at 1:10000 then visualized with alkaline phosphatase conjugated secondary and DAB. This antibody also worked well in fluorescent labeling of post-fixed thick (300um) rat midbrain slices scanned with a confocal microscope.
