Myc epitope tag, Absolute Antibody, Ab00100-23.0
What do reviewers generally think about Ab00100-23.0 from Absolute Antibody?
Researchers report mixed performance for this Myc tag antibody. One reviewer points out that at 2 µg/mL it produced high background in transfected primary hippocampal neurons, making positive and negative controls indistinguishable. Another found it highly effective for Western blot, detecting 1 µg Myc-tagged protein at 1:1000 with a very strong band and suggesting it could be further diluted or used with less protein. Overall, it appears sensitive for Western blot but may require optimization to reduce background in neuronal imaging.

Antibody: anti-myc epitope tag Rabbit IGG Ab00100-23.0 [9E10] (Absolute antibody)
The antibody was used to visualize myc-tagged proteins in transfected primary hippocampal neurons. Due to a high background signal, we were unable to distinguish the negative control from positive.
A concentration of 2ug/mL was used.

Absolute Antibody
Ab00100-23.0
I have used this antibody (1:1000) for WB detection of 1µg Myc-tagged protein. A very strong band was seen. As negative control was used un-tagged protein. I am sure that the antibody can be diluted more, and less protein can be loaded.
2. Ab: HRP-anti Rabbit IgG, Cell Signaling 7074S (1:2000), 1 hour at RT
Similar band-intensity was seen with anti-Myc tag antibodies Ab00100-1.1 and Ab00100-2.0
