ApoER2, Novus Biologicals, NB100-2217
What do reviewers generally think about NB100-2217 from Novus Biologicals?
Researchers report that ApoER2 NB100-2217 works in Western blot and immunofluorescence. At 1:1000 on mouse liver membrane preparations it detects four bands near the expected 100 kDa. One reviewer points out that the signal is very weak when assessing PCSK9-induced downregulation. For IF at 1:100, it gives intense staining in HepG2 cells, both PCSK9-transfected and untransfected, with stronger labeling in a cytoplasmic region than elsewhere. Overall, it appears useful for detecting ApoER2, but Western blot signal strength may be limited.

Review of: ApoER2, Novus Biologicals, NB100-2217 by Camilla Gustafsen, Aarhus University
We have used this antibody (1:1000) on mouse liver membrane preps (50 µg). The antibody detects 4 bands around the expected size of 100 kDa. ApoER2 has been reported a target of PCSK9 induced degradation, and one of the bands is down regulated by PCSK9, however, the signal is very weak.
Review of: ApoER2, Novus Biologicals, NB100-2217 by Laura Tvilling Poulsen (Aarhus University)
This antibody gives an intense IF staining in both HepG2 cells transfected with PCSK9 and untransfected HepG2 cells. The antibody stains an area of the cytoplasm more intensely than the rest of the cell.
