ApoE, Abcam, ab1907
What do reviewers generally think about ab1907 from Abcam?
Overall, researcher reviews of ApoE, Abcam, ab1907 are mixed. One reviewer points out that it works well for immunocytochemistry on SY5Y cells at a 1:1000 dilution. Another reviewer reports limited Western blot performance at 1:200, detecting only a faint ~36 kDa band in both WT and KO culture media, and no band in IP with 2 µg antibody.

Review of: ApoE, Abcam, ab1907 by pAbmAbs Data Mining
Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human Apolipoprotein E and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.
YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 14 commercial research antibodies against human Apolipoprotein E encoded by APOE.
The collection of antibodies was tested using HAP1 WT and APOE KO cells in the applications WB (WT and KO culture media/30 µg protein) and IP (WT culture media) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).
In WB (1:200 Ab dilution) ab1907 detected a faint band of appr. 36 kDa in WT culture media, with a corresponding faint band observed in KO culture media. No band was detected following IP (2 µg Ab used).
We highly encourage other scientists to share their observations.
