Worked very well for immunostaining mouse hippocampal neurons.
Neurons were fixed for 20 min in 4% PFA and permeabilized using PBS + 0.1% Triton X-100. After blocking, the neurons were incubated with antibody in a 1:1000 dilution in blocking buffer.

We have tested this on cultured primary hippomcampal neurons and this works very well for staining against MAP2.
We used this at a concentration of 1:1000.
