This antibody also works for IP of human SorCS1, but is less efficient compared to HPA011948, AF3457 or nbp1-86096. 1 ug/IP on GammaBind beads Sepharose-G.

I have recently got info from the company, that the antibody is raised against PYQDPAGENKRSTDDC, i.e. 1038-1052aa of SORCS1. I can confirm that it does not detect the N-terminal part of the protein, but only the c-terminal part in western blots.

Great SorCS1 antibody for detecting human SorCS1.
We have tested it in Western blotting of lysates of HEK293 cells transfected with human SorCS1 cDNA. An intense band of the expected size (around 130 kDa) was observed in HEK293/SorCS1 lysates but not in mock transfected lysates. Two weak unspecific bands of lower molecular weight (below 60 kDa) was also observed.

The SorCS1 antibody is also excellent for immunostaining of SorCS1 transfected HEK293 cells. No staining is observed in mock transfected cells.
