phospho-Mapk (p44/42), Cell Signaling Technology, 4376
What do reviewers generally think about 4376 from Cell Signaling Technology?
Researchers report poor performance of phospho-Mapk (p44/42), CST 4376 in cultured cell stimulation assays. One reviewer points out that it gave very limited success in cultured hippocampal neurons stimulated with 1 nM BDNF for 10 minutes. Another found almost no difference between stimulated and unstimulated 293 cells after insulin stimulation at 0, 1, 10, or 100 nM, using a 1:100 dilution. Overall, the reviews suggest the antibody may be unreliable for detecting expected phospho-Mapk changes in these fixed-cell applications.

I have also tested this antibody on cultured hippocampal neurons stimulated with 1 nM of BDNF for 10 minutes with very limited succes.

This antibody was tested on 293 cells in culture. The cells were stimulated with either 0, 1, 10 or 100nM of insulin before being fixed and stained. This antibody showed almost no difference between stimulated and unstimulated.
Dilution 1:100
