PCSK9, R&D Systems, AF3985
What do reviewers generally think about AF3985 from R&D Systems?
Researchers generally report that the antibody performs well for Western blot detection of human and mouse PCSK9, including transfected CHO cells, primary mouse hepatocytes, and mouse liver homogenates. It is described as excellent or great, giving a single band of expected size, and can be used at 1:1000 or 1 µg/ml. One reviewer points out that, although it works very well for endogenous PCSK9 in primary mouse hepatocytes, it cannot be re-used. Other reviewers say it can be reused twice or several times in CHO cell applications.

Excellent antibody for detection of human PCSK9 in transfected CHO cells. Diluted 1:1000 and used twice.

We have used this excellent antibody for detection of human PCSK9 expressed in transiently transfected CHO cells. We dilute 1:1000, and re-use several times

We have used this antibody (1µg/ml) for WB detection of endogenous PCSK9 in primary mouse hepatocytes. It works very well, but can not be re-used.

This mouse PCSK9 antibody is great for Western blotting.
We used mouse liver homogenates as samples. The PCSK9 antibody detected a single band of the expected size – just below the 62 kDa band of the Seeblue prestained molecular weight marker.
Recombinant human PCSK9 migrates like this in our gel system.
