I have used this antibody on cryosections of mouse embryonic tissue. It stains very well, clearly delineating cells known to express calretinin. Very high signal to background contrast. Dilution used were 1:250 but 1:500 also works well.

I performed IHC with this antibody on 12 um cryosections of mouse olfactory bulb. I got very nice, specific staining of interneurons without any background.
Antibody dilution: 1:500

This was tested os hippocampal lysates from p20 mice. This showed a very nice staining with very litttle background. Used at 1:1000

I have used this antibody on spinal cord cryo-sections at a dilution of 1:500. It is an excellent antibody that shows intense staining of a dense band of cells in the superficial lamina and of some cells in the deeper laminae of the dorsal horn. It shows staining both in the nuclei and the cytoplasm of positive cells and has a low background staining.

This antibody works very well for staining of tissue, both using DAB and fluorescence. At a concencration of 1:1000 very low background is seen.

Staining of hippocampal neurons in culture using a concentration of 1:1000 also showed a clear distinction between calretinin-positive and -negative cells. However, in this case the background is a little bit higher.

I have not tested it for IP or WB.
