Transferrin receptor, Abcam, ab84036
What do reviewers generally think about ab84036 from Abcam?
Researchers report that Transferrin receptor Abcam ab84036 performs well in immunofluorescence and Western blot. It stained mouse and human brain endothelial cell lines and primary porcine brain endothelial cells at 1:200 after paraformaldehyde or methanol fixation and Triton X-100 permeabilization. For Western blot, a 1:1000 dilution gave clear bands at the expected size in primary porcine brain endothelial and HEK293 lysates. One reviewer points out that it produced nice vesicular-like staining in HEK293 cells as a marker of endocytic compartments and seemed very specific.

Review of: Transferrin receptor, Abcam, ab84036 by Andrea E. Toth, Aarhus University
This antibody works well for immunofluorescence staining in mouse (b.End3), human (hCMEC/D3) brain endothelial cell line and in primary porcine brain endothelial cells. Dilution 1:200. Fixation was done with 4% paraformaldehyde or methanol cells were permeabilized with 0.25% Triton X-100.

I have tested it as marker of endocytic compartments in HEK293 cells.
Nice vesicular-like staining in immunofluorescense. Seems very specific.
Dilution 1:200.
