Researchers report strong performance of Synaptophysin MAB5258 in Western blotting and immunofluorescence on hippocampal samples. One reviewer points out that it worked excellent in Western blotting on 10 ug membrane preparations from hippocampal subcellular fractions. Another says it is by far the best synaptophysin antibody they tested for IF on hippocampal neurons and also works for Western blotting on mouse hippocampal homogenates, with suggested dilutions of 1:100 for IF and 1:1000 for WB. It worked excellent in western blotting on membrane preparations of 10 ug protein subcellular fractions from hippocampus tissue.

We have tested a number of synaptophysin antibodies for IF on hippocampal neurons. This is by far the best.
It also works for Western blotting using mouse hippocampal homogenates as samples.
