What do reviewers generally think about Academia-0004 from Academia?

Researchers report SorCS2, Academia, Academia-0004 is specific but low-sensitivity in ELISA. One reviewer points out that it gives a specific but low signal as a 1 µg/mL detector with rabbit anti-SorCS2 F7100 capture, while another finds it not very sensitive as a 10 µg/mL capture, though it may work with purified F7100 detector. It works in Western blotting at 5 µg/mL and immunofluorescence at 10 µg/mL in PFA-fixed mouse hippocampal neurons, using knockout neurons as negative control. One reviewer notes diluted antibody can be frozen and reused for Western blotting.

This antibody gives a specific but low signal as detector antibody in ELISA (1 µg/mL) detecting soluble purified SorCS2 in combination with rabbit anti-human SorCS2 extracellular domain (F7100) as capture antibody.

In my hands not very sensitive antibody as capture antibody (10 µg/mL) in ELISA detecting purified soluble SorCS2. May be used when detector antibody is purified anti-SorCS2 F7100.
