SorCS2, Academia, Academia-0003
What do reviewers generally think about Academia-0003 from Academia?
Researchers generally find SorCS2, Academia, Academia-0003 useful for immunoprecipitation and immunofluorescence of SorCS2, including murine targets, human SorCS2 variants, and PFA-fixed neurons. IP performance is described as good with 1-2 ug per IP, and one reviewer notes higher affinity for the 2-chain receptor. Immunofluorescence works well at 10 ug/ml, with knockout neurons used as a negative control. One reviewer points out that western blot did not work at 10 ug/ml, despite excellent immunofluorescence.

Good for IP of SorCS2. Has higher affinity for the 2-chain receptor.
I Used it on stable hSorCS2-transfected SY5Y-cells in a concentration of 1ug/IP

Used for Hek293T cell line transfected with mutated Sorcs2 variants. I used for western blot and immunofluorescence. Western blot didn’t work but it works excellently for immunofluorescence.
Dilution for western blot: 10ug/ml
Dilution for immunofluorescence: 10ug/ml

Mouse monoclonal antibody generated in the lab of Anders Nykjær, Aarhus University.
Works in immunofluorescense using PFA-fixed primary mouse hippocampal neurons. 10 ug/ml
Knockout neurons were used as negative control.
