SorCS1, Academia, F6375
What do reviewers generally think about F6375 from Academia?
Researchers report mixed performance for SorCS1, Academia, F6375. It works in Western blotting at 1:1000, but immunostaining results are poor: one reviewer points out that at 1:100 it stains mouse SorCS1-expressing CHO cells and untransfected controls similarly, with nuclear staining in controls. Another found it not convincing at 5 ug/ml for mouse primary hippocampal neurons. Overall, consensus favors Western blotting over cell staining, with complaints about nonspecific background.

I used this antibody to stain CHO-cells stable expressing mouse SorCS1 variant c. I stains unspecifically, mSorCS1-cells and untransfected control cells look similar at 1:100 concentration. I also stains the nucleus in control cells.

We used also tested it (5 ug/ml) for staining of mouse primary hippocampal neurons.
Not convincing.
