S100, Agilent Technologies, Z0311
What do reviewers generally think about Z0311 from Agilent?
Researchers report that S100 (Agilent Z0311) performs well for primary rat and mouse Schwann cells, sciatic nerve IHC/cryosection, immunofluorescence, and western blotting, with dilutions 1:400 for staining and 1:1000 for blotting. It is described as specific, sensitive, and giving strong/correct signal. One reviewer points out that rat Schwann cells show strong nuclear and weaker cytoplasmic staining, whereas mouse Schwann cells show strong cytoplasmic and weaker nuclear staining. No complaints are mentioned.

I have used this antibody for ICC of primary rat and mouse Schwann cells (1:400).
Rat Schwann cells show strong staining of the nucleus and weaker staining of the cytoplasm. Mouse Schwann cells show strong staining of the cytoplasm and weaker staining of the nucleus.

I have used DAKO (20311) anti-s100 to test primary cultures of rat Schwann Cells for purity, I have used the antibody for western blotting (1:1000) and in for immunofluorescence in primary rat Schwann cells. It work very well and is very sensitive for western blotting. Staining also looks correct.

This antibody works great in western blot on lysates of primary rat Schwann cells. Very specific and sensitive signal/SNR.
Dilution 1:1000.
It also works great for staining of primary rat Schwann cells. The signal looks specific.
Dilution 1:400

Great marker for Schwann cells in immunohistochemistry on cryosection of mouse sciatic nerve. Dilution 1:400
The antibody also works in Western blotting with mouse sciatic nerve homogenates.
