PSD95, Thermo Fischer Scientific, MA1-046

This antibody works with immunostaining for identyfing post synaptic densities in a primary hippocampal neuron in a dillution 1:100.

Did not work for immunostaining mouse hippocampal neurons. Clusters of PSD95 was not visible.

Neurons were fixed for 20 min in 4% PFA and permeabilized using PBS + 0.1% Triton X-100. After blocking, the neurons were incubated with antibody in a 1:500 dilution in blocking buffer.

This antibody was tested simultaneously with other antibodies for PSD95 (see below) and proved to be the worst.

Does not work in our hands. We have tested it on synaptosomal preparations from the hippocampus and for staining of primary mouse hippocampal neurons.
