This antibody works very well in western blotting.

Excellent control for HepG2 cell lysates. Reused +25 times and diluted 1:5000

Great loading control for HepG2 cell lysates. Single band detected at 38 kDa marker band (See blue Plus2 marker). We dilute at least 1:2000 and re-use several times.

This was tested on lysates from hippocampal tissue. Works excellent for detection of GAPDH! Also works for reprobing stripped membranes. Was used at a dilution of 1:5000

Superior antibody to probe as this house keeping gene is less susceptible to modulation by extraneous variable (except changes in mitochondrial function) whereas other common loading controls such as actin and tubulin can be altered by many different variables. I have used this antibody on cell lysates from primary cortical neuronal cultures and motor neuron cultures from nice, also human iPSC derived cells and human ES cells. Works great. 1:5000 for WB, more than enough for 2H at room temperature.

This antibody is not good for Western blotting of lysates obtained from cross-linked (DSP) HEK cells

Excellent for Western blotting 1:5000

Can also be used for reprobing stripped membranes.

Superb as loading control. May be superior to beta-actin.

Beta-actin levels are affected dramatically by e.g. insulin-induced signaling cascades.
