This antibody is very good for immunostainings of both cell cultures and tissue slices. Furthermore, we have used this Ab for Western blots as well, also with great success. It’s highly specific. We use this antibody in the range of 1:1000.

Superb for Western blotting.
Detects one broad band of the expected size. No other bands are detected.
We have used it on homogenates of mouse cerebellum, VTA and striatum. Strongest band observed in striatum. No DAT detected in the cerebellum.
Boiling samples in SDS may induce polymerization of DAT.
