Researchers report mixed performance for P75NTR, Abcam, ab10494. It works well for Western blotting and immunoprecipitation of transfected rat p75, with one reviewer using 1:750 for Western blotting, and one reviewer finds it very effective for detecting endogenous p75 in primary rat Schwann cell lysates at 1:5000. One reviewer points out that it should not be recommended for visualizing endogenous protein by Western blotting and does not work for immunofluorescence.

This antibody works very well for detection of endogenous p75 in 100 ug lysates of primary rat Schwann cells. Dilution: 1:5000.

This antibody works OK for Western blotting with lysates from cells transfected with rat p75 cDNA. And also for immunoprecipitation using such sample.
However, for visualization of endogenous protein by Western blotting, I cannot recommend it.
It does not work for immunofluorescense.
The WB dilution we use: 1:750
