I am sharing a pAbmAbs generated literature review of KO validated antibodies. Here citing Dong et al. Nature communications, 2019. Dong et al. validated this antibody for the detection of human ORP1 by Western blotting using WT, ORP1L-KO, and ORP1L/ORP1S double-KO cell lysates. In WT lysates, a band of approximately 110 kDa corresponding to ORP1L and a band of approximately 45 kDa corresponding to ORP1S were detected. In ORP1L-KO lysates, only the ORP1S band remained, whereas no corresponding bands were detected in the ORP1L/ORP1S double-KO lysates (Figure 2B). Full-length blot images were available, allowing assessment of potential off-target bands. Based on the available data, we have assigned a five-star rating, but we highly encourage other scientists to share their observations.
