Review of: IL-6, Abmart, TD6087 by pAbmAbs data mining
We generated a top 1000 list of the most studied and most published proteins and analyzed literature validation data for commercially available research antibodies. IL6 encoding interleukin-6 (IL-6) is the 6th most studied gene on the list.
In Guo et al., Oncogene (2025), the authors study IL-6 in breast cancer progression. Abmart TD6087 is tested by WB (1:1000) in human MCF7 cells (three IL-6 shRNAs versus non-targeting control) and mouse 66cl4 cells (IL-6 OE). Data are shown in Figure 1D–G, with original blots in the supplementary material.
A band between 20 and 25 kDa is reduced with all three shRNAs, supporting specificity. However, IL-6 OE does not clearly increase WB signal. KD and OE are supported by mRNA quantification and ELISA of secreted IL-6 (Figure 1B, H–I). Loading controls are shown, but background and the limited MW range restrict assessment of nonspecific bands.
We have rated TD6087 based on the available information and according to the pAbmAbs criteria.
