I am sharing a pAbmAbs generated literature review of KO validated antibodies. Here citing Soday et al. Cell Reports, 2019. Soday et al. validate this antibody for detection of human Histone Deacetylase 5 (HDAC5) by Western blotting of HeLa cell lysates. A band of appr. 135 kDa was observed in WT cell lysate, whereas no band was detected in 5HKO1, but a faint band was detected in 5HKO2 (Figure 2d). No meaningful off-target bands can be assessed outside the displayed molecular-weight region because only cropped Western blot images were available. Based on the available data, we have assigned a four-star rating, but we highly encourage other scientists to share their observations.
