PKN2, Proteintech, 14608-1-AP

Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human Serine/threonine-protein kinase N2 (PKN2) and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.

YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 11 commercial research antibodies against human Serine/threonine-protein kinase N2 (PKN2).

The collection of antibodies was tested using HCT116 WT and PKN2 KO cells in the applications WB (WT and KO cell lysates/30 µg protein) and flow cytometry (KO and WT cells) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).

In WB (1:1000 ab dilution) 14608-1-AP detected a band of appr. 130 kDa in WT cell lysate with no corresponding band observed in KO cell lysate. Furthermore, faint bands of lower molecular weight were observed in both genotypes. Flow cytometry using 14608-1-AP (1:4500 ab dilution) showed a right-shifted fluorescence intensity distribution in WT and KO cells with some gap between the two populations, suggesting background staining in KO cells.
