TGF-beta receptor type-2, Abcam, ab259360

Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human TGFBR2 and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.

YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 12 commercial research antibodies against human TGFBR2.

The collection of antibodies was tested using A549 WT and TGFBR2 KO cells in the applications WB (WT and KO cell lysates/30 µg protein) and flow cytometry (KO and WT cells: intracellular and cell surface) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).

In WB (1:1000 ab dilution) ab259360 detected a smear of appr. 66-95 kDa in WT cell lysate with no corresponding band observed in KO cell lysate. Furthermore, a band of lower molecular weight was observed in both genotypes. Flow cytometry using ab259360 (1:469 ab dilution) showed a slight right-shift in fluorescence intensity distribution in WT cells while KO cells remained partly at secondary antibody control.
