pAbmAbs reviewed Amendola et al. Nature 2019, in which the authors evaluated Cell Signaling Technology #2024 (clone C35C4) against HK1 in Western blotting. The antibody was tested using wild-type and HK1-deficient HEK293 cells and validated using genetic validation (Figure 4d). In Western blotting (1:2000), the antibody detected HK1 in wild-type HEK293 cells, whereas the corresponding HK1 signal was reduced in HK1-deficient cells (Figure 4d). The article provides uncropped SDS-PAGE and Western blot images in its supplementary material, allowing broader assessment of antibody specificity beyond the cropped main-figure panel. Based on the available experimental evidence and pAbmAbs review criteria, we assign 4 stars for Western blotting, because residual bands are observed in KO-cell lysate.
