Bim, Cell Signaling Technology, 2933

pAbmAbs reviewed Bajpai et al. Nature Communications (2020), in which authors evaluated Cell Signaling 2933 (Clone C34C5) against Bim in Western blotting. The antibody was tested using KMS11 and L363 multiple myeloma cells and validated using genetic validation including CRISPR/Cas9-generated Bim knockout cells and WT cells (Figure 5h and Figure 5i). In Western blotting (1:1000), the antibody detected three bands in WT corresponding to three major isoforms of Bim, whereas no bands were observed in KO cell lysate. This was demonstrated independently in KMS11 cells (Figure 5h) and L363 cells (Figure 5i), providing strong genetic validation of 2933 for Bim detection. Full lane images were available showing specificity of the anti-Bim antibody. Based on the available experimental evidence and pAbmAbs review criteria, we assign 5 stars for Western blotting.
