ATM, Upstate, 05-513

pAbmAbs reviewed Douglas et al. Molecular and Cellular Biology (2023), in which authors evaluated Upstate 05-513 (clone AM9) against ATM in Western Blotting. The antibody was tested using 4549 cells treated with nocodazole for 6 or 16 hours and validated using genetic validation, including A549 CRISPR-control and A549 CRISPR-ATM cells. In Western blotting, the antibody detected strong ATM bands in A549 CRISPR-control cells with some smearing appearing, whereas corresponding signal was absent in A549 CRISPR-ATM knockout cells across the tested conditions (Figure 4A). Only cropped Western blot images were available why off-target bands can’t be assessed outside the shown region. Based on the available experimental evidence and pAbmAbs review criteria, we assign 4 stars for Western blotting because both dilution and full lane image is missing.
