I am sharing a pAbmAbs-generated literature review of KO-validated antibodies, citing de Cubas et al., JCI Insight (2020). de Cubas et al. validated this antibody for the detection of endogenous human RIG-I by Western blotting using WT and RIG-I-KO cell lysates. A clear band was observed in the WT cell lysates, whereas no distinct band was observed in the KO cell lysates. However, some smearing was present in the KO lane (Figure 4A). Based on the available data, we have assigned this antibody a four-star rating. However, we strongly encourage other scientists to share their observations and experiences with this antibody.
