I am sharing a pAbmAbs generated literature review of KO validated antibodies. Here citing Hu et al. Theranostics, 2020. Hu et al. evaluated the specificity of the FGL2 antibody by immunohistochemistry and Western blotting using liver tissue from MCD- or HFD-fed wild-type (WT) and FGL2-knockout (FGL2−/−) mice. By immunohistochemistry, FGL2 staining was observed in WT liver tissue, whereas no corresponding staining was detected in FGL2−/− tissue (Supplementary Figures 1A–B). Similarly, Western blot analysis showed an FGL2-specific band in WT samples, with no corresponding band detected in FGL2−/− samples (Supplementary Figure 1C). Based on the available data, we have assigned a five-star rating for both applications, but we highly encourage other scientists to share their observations.
