I am sharing a pAbmAbs generated literature review of KO validated antibodies. Here citing Kushioka et al. Bone research 2020 Kushioka et al. validate this antibody for detection of endogenous mice Smurf2 by Western blotting of rhBMP2-stimulated BMSC cell lysate. Only a faint band was observed in Smurf2-/- BMSC KO cells (Figure 6c). However, as the presented blot is cropped, this assessment should be interpreted with some caution. Furthermore, this antibody was evaluated by Immunohistochemistry stained with anti-Smurf2 of the rhBMP2-induced ectopic bones. No staining was observed in Smurf2-/- (supplementary figure 7a). Based on the available data, we have assigned a five star rating for both application but we highly encourage other scientists to share their observations.
