Hexokinase II, Abcam, ab104836

I am sharing a pAbmAbs generated literature review of KO validated antibodies. Here citing Zhou et al. Nature Communications 2021. Zhou et al. validate this antibody for detection of endogenous human Hexokinase 2 by Western blotting of HK2 WT (WT) and HK2−/− cell lysate. Ab104836 detected a band of appr. 102 kDa in HK2 WT cell lysate and no corresponding band was observed in KO cell lysate (Figure 2E). Based on the available data, we have assigned a five-star rating. However, as the presented blot is cropped, this assessment should be interpreted with some caution. We strongly encourage other researchers to share their observations and validation data.
