I am sharing a pAbmAbs generated literature review of KO validated antibodies. Here citing Wijshake et al. Cell biology 2021. Wijshake et al. validate this antibody for detection of endogenous human Alpha-catenin encoded by CTTNA1 by Western blotting of MCF7 KO cell lysates. Western blot analysis of alpha-catenin in MCF7 cells was carried out after transduction with a CRISPR/Cas9 lentivirus containing either no (empty) or two sgRNAs targeting CTTNA1. A band of appr. 100 kDa was observed in WT (empty) with no corresponding band observed in CTTNA1 KO MCF7 cells (Figure 3a). Based on the available data, we have assigned a five-star rating, but we highly encourage other scientists to share their observations.
