Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1 and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.

YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 13 commercial research antibodies against human Vascular endothelial growth factor receptor 1 encoded by FLT1.

The collection of antibodies was tested using A-375 WT and VPS35 KO cells in the applications WB (WT and KO culture medium and cell lysate/20 µg protein) and IP (WT culture medium) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).

In WB (antibody dilution 1:1000), ab285069 detected a double band at approximately 150 kDa in the WT culture medium, which was absent in the KO culture medium. However, due to low quality of the Western blot using cell lysates, no conclusions could be drawn from this experiment. A band was detected following IP (2 µg Ab used), this band was markedly more intense compared to band in input extract (10% of starting material) and no band was detected in immunodepleted extract (10% of total unbound fraction), showing that the antibody does completely deplete the antigen from cell lysate.
