Review of: Rab6A, Novus Biologicals, NBP2-88117 by pAbmAbs Data Mining
Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human Rab6A and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.
YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 13 commercial research antibodies against human Rab6A encoded by RAB6A.
The collection of antibodies was tested using HAP1 WT and RAB6A KO cells in the applications WB (WT and KO cell lysates/40 µg protein), IP (WT cell lysate) and IF (WT and KO cells) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference). A signal observed at ~22 kDa in western blots using Rab6A antibodies suggests the presence of a truncated form of the Rab6A protein.
In WB (1:200 ab dilution) NBP2-88117 detected a band of appr. 24 kDa in WT cell lysate with no corresponding band observed in KO cell lysate. Intense bands of higher molecular weight were observed in both genotypes. No band was detected following IP (2 µg ab used). In IF (1:250 ab dilution), comparable staining intensity was observed in both KO and WT cells.
We highly encourage other scientists to share their observations.
