Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human TCP-43 and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.

YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 18 commercial research antibodies against human TDP-43 encoded by TARDBP

The collection of antibodies was tested using HAP1 WT and TARDBP KO cells in the applications WB (WT and KO cell lysates/50 µg protein), IP (WT cell lysate) and IF (WT and KO cells) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).

In WB (1:1000 ab dilution) ab190963 detected a band of appr. 45 kDa in WT cell lysate along with a faint band of lower molecular weight. No bands were detected in KO cell lysate. A band of same intensity as band in input- and unbound fraction was detected following IP (2 µg Ab used). In IF (1:800 ab dilution) clear staining was observed in WT cells and KO cells showed some background stain.
