Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human Excitatory amino acid transporter 1 and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.

YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 9 commercial research antibodies against human Excitatory amino acid transporter 1 encoded by SLC1A3.

The collection of antibodies was tested using HCT116 and HAP1 (WT and SLC1A3 KO) cells in WB (WT and KO cell lysates/100 µg protein according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference). Furthermore, this antibody was tested in the cell lines; HAP1, HCT116, HEK293, HeLa, A549 and U2OS (WT and KO cell lysate/25 µg protein).
In WB (1:1000 ad used) ab176557 detected a very faint band in HCT116 WT with no corresponding band observed in KO. No band was detected in HAP1 cell lysate. A faint band was detected in HAP1 WT, HCT116 WT, HEK293 WT and HeLa WT (ab dilution 1:200).
