Syndecan-4, Bio-Techne, NBP2-50315

Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human Syndecan-4 and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.

YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 10 commercial research antibodies against human Syndecan-4 encoded by SDC4.

The collection of antibodies was tested using MCF7 WT and SDC4 KD cells in the applications WB (WT and KO cell lysates/50 µg protein) and IP (WT culture media) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).

In Western blot, NBP2-50315 (1:500 ab dilution) detected a band at approximately 27 kDa in WT cell lysates and in KD cell lysate in the absence of Brefeldin A treatment. In contrast, no band was detected in either cell type following treatment with Brefeldin A. Bands of stronger intensity was observed in both genotypes. No band was detected following IP (2 ug Ab used).
