Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human Rab13 and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.

YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 11 commercial research antibodies against human Rab13

The antibody panel was evaluated across multiple applications. For Western blotting (WB), HEK-293T WT and RAB13 KO lysates (30 µg protein) as well as U-87 MG WT and RAB13 KD lysates (40 µg protein) were analyzed. U-87 MG lysates were used for immunoprecipitation (IP), while U-87 MG control and RAB13 KD cells were used for immunofluorescence (IF).

In Western blotting (WB; 1:1000 antibody dilution) using HEK-293T cells, MA5-31879 detected a fainter band at approximately 24 kDa in WT lysates, with no corresponding band observed in RAB13 KO lysates. An intense smear of higher molecular weight was detected in both genotypes. The same pattern was detected in U-87 MG cells. Only a faint band was detected following IP (2 µg Ab used). In IF (1:1000 ab dilution) comparable staining intensities were observed in WT and KD cells.
