Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human Rab13 and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.

YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 11 commercial research antibodies against human Rab13

The antibody panel was evaluated across multiple applications. For Western blotting (WB), HEK-293T WT and RAB13 KO lysates (30 µg protein) as well as U-87 MG WT and RAB13 KD lysates (40 µg protein) were analyzed. U-87 MG lysates were used for immunoprecipitation (IP), while U-87 MG control and RAB13 KD cells were used for immunofluorescence (IF).

In WB (1:200 Ab dilution) on both HEK-293T and U-87 MG ab180936 detected a band of appr. 24 kDa in WT cell lysate with no corresponding band observed in KO/KD cell lysate. A band was detected following IP (2 µg Ab used), this band had same intensity compared to bands in input extract (4% of starting material) and immunodepleted extract (4% of total unbound fraction), showing that the antibody does not deplete the antigen from cell lysate. In IF (1:600 ab dilution) staining was observed in WT cells with no staining observed in KD cells.
