Midkine, GeneTex, GTX116089

Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human Midkine and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.

YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 8 commercial research antibodies against human Midkine encoded by MDK.

The collection of antibodies was tested using HAP1 WT and MDK KO cells in the applications WB (WT and KO cell media/30 µg protein) and IP (WT culture media) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).

In WB (1:100 Ab dilution) GTX116089 detected multiple bands (>8) all smeared out and none of which were specific to WT cell media. Only a faint band was detected following IP (1 µg Ab used).
