MAPK 1, Proteintech, 51068-1-AP

Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human Mitogen-activated protein kinase 1 and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.

YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 14 commercial research antibodies against human Mitogen-activated protein kinase 1 encoded by MAPK1.

The collection of antibodies was tested using HeLa WT and MAPK1 KO cells in the applications WB (WT and KO cell lysates/30 µg protein), IP (WT cell lysate) and IF (WT and KO cells) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).

In WB (1:1000 Ab dilution) 51068-1-AP detected multiple bands (>8) in both genotypes, none of which were specific to WT cell lysate. Only a band corresponding to the heavy chain was detected following IP (2 µg Ab used). In IF (1:400 Ab dilution), WT cells showed slightly more intense staining compared to WT cells showing a lot of background.
