Serine protease HTRA1, Proteintech, 55011-1-AP

Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human Serine protease HTRA1 and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.

YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 6 commercial research antibodies against human Serine protease HTRA1encoded by HTRA1.

The collection of antibodies was tested using HAP1 WT and HTRA1 KO cells in the applications WB (WT and KO cell lysates/25 µg protein) and IP (WT cell lysate) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).

In WB (1:500 Ab dilution) 55011-1-AP detected a single band of appr. 50 kDa in WT cell lysate with no corresponding band in KO cell lysate. Furthermore, faint bands of higher molecular weight were observed in both genotypes. A band was also detected following IP (2 µg Ab used), this band was as intense as the band in input extract (2 % of starting material), a band was also detected in immunodepleted extract (2% of total unbound fraction), showing that the antibody does not deplete the antigen from the cell lysate.
