Review of: Glucocerebrosidase, Cell Signaling Technology, 88162 by pAbmAbs Data Mining
Our team has carried out deep research in the published scientific literature to identify papers and reports using antibodies directed against human glucocerebrosidase (GCase) and followed up by extraction and evaluation of the available data to assess its performance according to pAbmAbs rating criteria.
YCharOS is here conducting a large head-to-head study comparing 24 commercial research antibodies against human glucocerebrosidase encoded by GBA1 gene.
The collection of antibodies was tested using HAP1 WT and GBA1 KO cells in the applications WB (WT and KO cell lysates/30 µg protein) and IP (WT cell lysate). The collection of antibodies was also tested using RPE-1cells in the application IF (WT and GBA1 KO cells) according to YCharOS standard protocols (see reference).
In WB (1:100 Ab dilution) 88162 detected a faint band of appr. 63 kDa in WT cell lysate with no corresponding band observed in KO cell lysate. No band was detected following IP (2 µg Ab used). In IF (1:500 Ab dilution), comparable staining intensities were observed in both KO and WT cells.
We highly encourage other scientists to share their observations.
